Annualized Ownership Cost
The modeled per-year cost of owning a system over a defined hold period: amortized hardware, maintenance, and software licensing combined.
This site models annualized ownership cost over a 5-year hold, using IBM's published ~15% of hardware price as the hardware maintenance baseline, plus the applicable IBM i tier's software cost. See Annualized Ownership Cost for the full generation-by-generation model and its assumptions.
