Configuration Efficiency (Diminishing Returns)

The point at which adding more cores, memory, or storage to a configuration stops producing proportional economic value.

Every Power model has a sweet-spot configuration zone where cost per unit of usable capacity is lowest; scaling past it (extra cores that push you into a higher software tier, memory beyond your IBM i usable cap) can raise cost faster than it raises usable throughput.
